Nitrox - Enriched Air (EAN) Diver Training.
We are pleased to announce the launch of a fully functional technical diving facility at the Underwater Centre and Dive Seychelles. Nitrox enriched air fills and certification courses are available as well as both semi-closed rebreather (SCR) and closed circuit rebreather (CCR) courses. Our experienced PADI and TDI trained staff look forward to introducing you to the Silent World.

Nitrox - Enriched Air fills.
Nitrox blends containing oxygen levels from 21 to 40% are available for those with a standard level of Nitrox Qualification, such as the PADI Enriched Air Diver Speciality. Those with for example TDI Advanced Nitrox may ask for mixes with as much oxygen content as up to 100%.

We generally use 80 CuFt. (11.25 Litre) Luxfer Aluminium cylinders with DIN / INT cylinder valves. These are filled to a maximum of 225 Bar (3260 PSI).

PADI Discover Enriched Air Nitrox, 1 day course
Now you can see for yourself the advantages of using Nitrox without committing to a full specialty course. This course will introduce you to the basic theory of enriched air dives and the practical considerations of its use. 

Divers must:-
Be a certified PADI Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.

The Course includes:-
Knowledge Development of enriched air dive planning, care for equipment, hazard management, use and application of enriched air. Practical Application using an oxygen analyzer to determine oxygen content in an enriched air blend, verification of cylinder content, use of fill log. One dive using 32% Nitrox (80 CuFt cylinder). Certification with PADI as a Discover Enriched Air Nitrox diver. 

This course can be upgraded to the PADI enriched air specialty certification by the completion of a second theory and practical session and the final examination (no second dive is necessary) at a small additional extra cost (inclusive of Manual and certification). PADI Enriched Air Dive in the Advance Open Water Diver Course
A single enriched air dive is now available as one of the elective dives of the Advanced / Adventures in Diving Course using the same program outlined in the Discover Enriched Air Nitrox above, for a small additional cost using Nitrox EANx32 in a 80 CuFt cylinder. This can be upgraded to the PADI enriched air specialty certification by the completion of a second theory and practical session and the final examination (no second dive is necessary) at a small additional extra cost (inclusive of Manual and certification).

PADI Enriched Air Specialty, 1 day specialty course
This is the full PADI specialty course. This course will introduce you to the basic theory of enriched air dives and the practical considerations of its use, the planning of dives and the use of the Enriched air dive tables and Equivalent Air Depth tables. 

Divers must:-
Be a certified PADI Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.

The Course includes:-
Two Knowledge Development sessions covering enriched air dive planning, care for equipment, hazard management, use and application of enriched air and procedures for obtaining enriched air. Practical Application using an oxygen analyzer to determine oxygen content in an enriched air blend, verification of cylinder content, use of fill log. One dive using 32% Nitrox (EAN 32). Certification with PADI as an Enriched Air specialty diver.
