So I can do Deco?

The Ambient Pressure Diving or APD Inspiration / Evolution closed circuit rebreather uses Set Points to allow the user to control the Oxygen level at different depths.

As standard the unit uses 0.70 and 1.30 PPO2 for its normal day to day diving. However these can be changed / edited by the user at any point - above or below.

A Set Point of 0.70 means that at sea level the user would have 70% oxygen running around the breathing loop and at 10 metres or 2 ATA they would have the equivalent of 35% oxygen in the breathing loop - And so on.

So doing a dive to 40 metres the user would decend on a Set point of 0.70 for example change to 1.30 at depth and then change back to 0.70 once he or she had completed all of his / her decompression, if any.

At 20 metres on a 1.30 Set Point the unit is capable of 180 minutes with out racking up any decompression.

TDI Air Diluent Deco Closed Circuit Rebreather Course

This is the second entry certification course for divers wishing to utilise an Ambient Pressure Diving's Inspiration / Evolution Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) for air diving.

The objective of

the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving a CCR and to develop basic CCR diving skills to a maximum of 45 metres using air as a diluent for formal decompression diving.

To participate in the TDI Closed Circuit Rebreather Training Course divers must:-

Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Show proof of 50 logged open water dives.
Minimum certification level of TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and Deco procedures or recognised equivalent.

Or,

Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
TDI Air Diluent CCR diver certified or equivalent.
30 hours on the CCR unit.
6 months CCR diving experience.

Closed circuit rebreather courses in Malaysia

The TDI Course includes:-

6 hours of academics and a 2 hour equipment maintenance workshop.
60 minutes of confined water training.
420 minutes of open water training, progressively getting deeper to a maximum depth of 45m.
2 hours of equipment maintenance and strip downs.

The minimum course duration is 5 days.
